ART LESSONS FOR THE BUDDING ARTIST

Yr 4-9 GIRLS /  Yr 5-9 BOYS

The more advanced artist will aquire further skill and confidence in drawing and painting from life, portraiture and landscape scenes. They will explore a wide range of media, including pencil, oil pastel, ink, and paint. They will develop an understanding of tone, line, composition, colour and perspective.                                        For further details:

FOR THE YOUNG ARTIST

Yr 2-4 GIRLS / Yr 4 BOYS

The young artist will be introduced to drawing techniques and a wide range of different media,including pencils, pencil crayons, oil pastels and paint. They will develop their drawing and colouring skills enabling them to create landscape and still life pictures.

WATERCOLOUR PAINTING

Yr 6 - 10 GIRLS / Yr 7-10 BOYS

Learn how to paint wet-on-wet as well as dry washes. Learn to mix colour and use different media and tools to create special effects. This course also provides a good grounding in composition, shape and form.

SILK PAINTING

Yr 6-10 GIRLS

Design beautiful paintings on silk. An exciting way to create cushions covers, wall hangings and more. The more advanced student will be encouraged to create their own designs based on their own research or imagination.

GCSE and A Level Support Class

Yr 9-13 GIRLS

Doing the Art GCSE and A Level may seem overwhelming, therefore we offer a support class to help      you along the way ensuring that you achieve your goals.

POTTERY

Yr 3-7 BOYS

Learn how to make sculptures out of clay which will then be fired and glazed. Differnent techniques are taught, including slab building, pinching and coiling. The three mugs in the picture were designed by three young artists in December 2011.
