At The Art Academy we teach our students to paint 'wet-on-wet' as well as dry washes. The students will also learn how to mix colours and use different media and tools to create special effects. A good grounding in composition, line, form and colour is covered.

This course is for BOYS and GIRLS in Yr 7+.

This course runs for a 10 week term. The classes are one hour long. They take place on a Sunday morning between the hours of 9.45am and 12.45pm for girls and on a Monday and Tuesday evening between 6.00-7.00pm for boys.

Towards the end of every 10 week term the students take part in an Art Academy workshop.

• HB pencil, rubber, 30cm ruler,
• A3 watercolour pad
• 2 round watercolour paint brushes, sizes 2, and 6
• 1 flat watercolour paint brush size 10. A set of four paintbrushes can be bought from The Art Academy for £5.
• An old shirt
• A set of 12 watercolour paints (Winsor & Newton). These can also be bought from the Art Academy for £10.

ALL MATERIALS MUST BE BOUGHT TO THE FIRST LESSON OF THE TERM. If buying from The Art Academy please do so on the first day of the term.

The cost of this course is £97 for a 10 week course.
